Torque Wrenches and Screwdrivers

Torque wrench sale

The first ever patent given for a wrench design was issued in 1835. Since this time, as technology has evolved, so have the tools that build it. Wrenches are no exception to this. As machines and mechanical systems have grown more complex and intricate, wrenches have had to evolve so that these systems could be properly built and maintained. Torque wrenches and related torque products have come from this trend.

Beam torque wrenches were invented in the 1920s and have since become essential tools for mechanical systems. Cars, in particular, need most connections and bolts tightened at a certain pressure or they will not work properly. Torque wrenches make this easier. To use a torque wrench, you will adjust it to a certain pressure. Manual torque wrenches make a clicking noise when the connection has been tightened to the set pressure, and digital torque wrenches will alert you in a similar manner. This makes it far easier to adjust bolts and other connections to a very specific amount of pressure.

Cordless torque screwdrivers work in essentially the same way, only with screws rather than bolts. Since adjustable torque screwdrivers are either manual or require minimal power for their electronic components, most are cordless torque screwdrivers. Cordless torque screwdrivers have a more limited range of personal applications than torque wrenches do, but they can still be useful whenever you need precision when assembling something. Remember, especially with more complex and delicate tools like cordless torque screwdrivers and wrenches, you should always store your tools in a good toolbox to prevent rust and other weather damage from happening to your tools. Whatever you are looking for, different types of torque wrenches and screwdrivers can readily be found on the internet, either at sites from different tool companies or the websites of manufacturers themselves.
