Whether it’s a party bus, a taxi, limousine, or other luxury vehicle service, there are plenty ways for people to get around nowadays. And as more and more people continue to take the “go green” leap, more people are opting to get rid of their personal vehicles, which is good news for not only the taxi industry, but also the limousine industry.

Each year in the U.S., the taxi and limousine industry rakes in about $11 billion in revenue. The industry isn’t showing any signs of slowing down, either. In fact, the taxi and limousine industry is growing bit by bit every year. From 2009 to 2014 alone, the industry grew by nearly 3.2% annually! Because of the industry’s steady growth, it’s been able to cater to customers across the U.S. Currently, there are about 200,309 taxi and limousine services across the States, making the taxi and limousine industry a pretty big employer, with over 256,651 employees.

But what types of clients does the taxi and limousine industry rely on? When you consider that many limousine services also offer luxury vehicles, it becomes easy to see why a large chunk of clients are from a business or corporate background. In fact, an estimated 50% of limousine services each week cater to business or corporate customers for corporate travel. Many even come with chauffeurs to help transport clients around town. Luxury vehicles, like sedans, are the most popular type of vehicle among business and corporate clients, while stretch limousines are the second most popular.

You don’t have to be rich or a member of the corporate elite to use taxi and limousine services, though. Many offer more laid back, leisure services, like party buses. Party buses are becoming increasingly popular as the go to way for a group, bachelor, or bachelorette party to get around town and see the sights. There are even buses nowadays that take groups on things like wine tours! They’re comfortable vehicles, are affordable and unique, and large enough to accommodate groups.

So whether it’s a limo service, airport transfers, group buses, or just a traditional taxi service that one requires, there are thousands of taxi and limousine companies across the U.S. just waiting to take on more clients!
